My journey from Staff ML Engineer to solo founder, and the tools I'm creating.
After years of building machine learning systems at scale, I’ve decided to take the leap and build my own AI-powered tools. Here’s what I’ve learned so far.
The Motivation
Working at a large tech company taught me a lot about building robust ML systems. But I also saw countless opportunities for smaller, more focused tools that could have a big impact on developer productivity.
The First Project
My first project focuses on code review automation. The idea is simple: catch bugs before they make it to production. But the implementation is anything but simple. It involves:
- Understanding code context deeply
- Identifying patterns that lead to bugs
- Providing actionable feedback
